Frankfort, KY—Representative Dennis Keene (D-Wilder) was honored today by the Kentucky Association of Realtors with the Jess & Carolyn Kinman Award 2016. The award is in honor of Representative Keene’s service in the legislature championing many important real estate issues. A ceremony took place this morning in the Kentucky Capitol Rotunda.
“I am grateful for this recognition by one of Kentucky’s finest organizations representing an industry that is so vital to Kentuckians,” said Representative Dennis Keene. “The realtors’ efforts to bring back our real estate market following this most recent recession show how dedicated Kentucky’s real estate professionals are to continued economic growth.”
As part of the Jess & Carolyn Kinman Award, a charity of Rep. Keene’s choosing will be the recipient of a $500 contribution. Rep. Keene has selected Brighton Center in Newport to be this year’s recipient.
About the Jess & Carolyn Kinman Award:
This award is presented to Legislator(s) in honor of Jesse & Carolyn Kinman, outstanding Kentuckians whose involvement in the legislative and political arenas have left an indelible mark on all those who have known or worked with them.
Jess was a patriarch of our association and mentored many of our members who are active today. He served as the President of the Kentucky Association of REALTORS in 1994 and was recognized for his fine services with the highest REALTOR honor – REALTOR of the Year – in 1997. Carolyn spent many years working for members of the General Assembly at LRC. She retired in 2007 to care for Jess.
Jess & Carolyn’s caring nature, honesty and integrity represent the spirit of this award. Their presence in the Kentucky REALTOR family, and in the Kentucky legislative arena, have had a positive impact that we want to recognize.
