Keene Speaks at Homicide Memorial Dedication Ceremony

April 15, 2011–Representative Dennis Keene was a featured speaker at the Homicide Memorial Dedication ceremony in Louisville Kentucky.  Because of his own’s family’s experience with violent crime, Representative Keene was asked to make remarks to the victim’s families.

“When I became a legislator, I sponsored a bill that would create an internet website that would monitor those violent offenders out on parole so that neighborhoods, police departments and communities could be aware of their potentially dangerous presence. The bill passed out of the House but died in the Senate.  I have not given up on that legislation,” said Representative Keene.
