IMG_1874The Bronze Star Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the Army of the United States distinguished himself or herself by heroic or meritorious achievement or service.  Lillard Brown served two and half years in combat beginning at age 19.  He fought on behalf of the United States primarily in the Philippines.
