Representative Dennis Keene Secures Additional Transportation Funding for Campbell County Road Projects

Asphalt-Road_full2-e1370867938412Frankfort, KY:  Representative Dennis Keene (D-Wilder) has secured additional funding for transportation projects in his district this year.  “As funds become available, I am continuing to work with transportation officials in Frankfort so that we receive our share of the dollars for our county,” says Rep. Keene.

The two projects that were recently awarded funding are for a 2.5-mile section of Grand Avenue-Carothers Road (KY 1892) from KY 1120 to U.S. 27 (omitting mile points 1.4-2.1). Eaton Asphalt Paving Co. Inc. was awarded the contract for $342,262. Completion date: Oct. 15, 2014.

The second project is for a 0.65-mile section of Licking Pike (KY915) from Mallard Drive to 0.32 miles north of Echo Hills and a 2.8-mile section of Memorial Parkway (KY 1120) from Monroe Street to just west of North Fort Thomas Avenue (omitting mile point 1.17-1.67). Eaton Asphalt Paving Co. Inc. was awarded the contract for $331,909. Completion date: Nov. 15, 2014.
