Frankfort, KY—Representative Dennis Keene is the highest-ranking Northern Kentuckian to serve on Governor-elect Andy Beshear’s transition team. Beshear defeated Governor Matt Bevin and during the time between the election and his inauguration on December 10th, the transition team will work to ensure the smooth transition of state government.

     “I am honored and ready to get to work on the peaceful transition of our new administration under the leadership of Governor Andy Beshear and Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman,” said Rep. Dennis Keene. “Northern Kentucky played a significant role in the outcome of the election, and under Gov. Beshear, we will have a strong advocate for our growing region in Frankfort.” Rep. Keene is serving as the co-chair for the Public Protection Cabinet.

Four others from Northern Kentucky are also serving as volunteer staff on the transition team. These include: Fort Thomas Independent Schools Superintendent Karen Cheser, who will serve as staff on the Education and Workforce Development Cabinet transition staff; Col Owens, of Fort Mitchell, a local attorney and former chairman of the Kenton County Democratic Party, will serve on the transition staff of the Health and Family Services Cabinet; Campbell County Commonwealth’s Attorney Michelle Snodgrass will serve on the transition staff for the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet; and attorney Lance Lucas, of Union, will serve on the transition staff of the Labor Cabinet.
